What do I need to do before I depart?

If your plan validity covers your entire trip, we recommend installing the QR code 1 day before departure. Please note that your 30-day validity starts immediately after installation.

Alternatively, you can install your eSIM upon arrival in your destination country. A stable Wi-Fi connection is required during installation (airport Wi-Fi is acceptable).

How do I activate this eSIM?

To activate your eSIM, please use the following steps:

Step 1. Go to device settings and scan the QR code to install your eSIM

iOS
Settings > Mobile > under SIMs, select Add eSIM > scan the QR code or enter the activation code manually

Android
Settings > Connections > SIM card manager > select Add mobile plan or Add eSIM > scan the QR code or enter the activation code manually

Pixel
Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network > Advanced > Carrier > select Add carrier or Add carrier eSIM

Step 2. Please allow 2–3 minutes while the QR code installs onto your device. Once installation is complete, you should see a notification and the eSIM should appear under your SIMs/eSIM section labelled Mobile Data, Secondary, Travel, etc.

Important: If prompted for a PIN during installation, enter it. Failing to enter the PIN may invalidate the QR code. We cannot offer a refund if this step is missed.

Upon Arrival

Once you have arrived in your destination country, follow these steps to activate your data connection:

Step 1. Turn ON your eSIM line.

Step 2. Set Mobile Data to your eSIM line.

Step 3. Turn ON Data Roaming.

Step 4. Set your APN as follows:

APN Name: Orange
APN Username: (leave blank)
APN Password: (leave blank)

Alternate: Manual eSIM Installation

If you have arrived in your destination country and your eSIM has not been pre-installed, or if you do not have access to a separate screen to display your QR code for scanning, you can also install the eSIM manually by entering the activation information below:

Note: Please ensure the SM-DP address and activation code are entered exactly as shown in your order confirmation email. Any extra characters, symbols, or spaces will cause an error.

What will my phone number be?

Your Orange France eSIM will be assigned a French phone number (+33) once the eSIM is active. You will receive a welcome SMS from Orange France with your new number upon activation.

To use for more than 30 days, you must complete KYC (Know Your Customer) registration — a legal requirement for prepaid SIMs and eSIMs in Europe. You’ll need to provide your passport during registration.
